Over 7,000 Attend Homecoming  At Berry College

Mountain Day is an annual celebration of Berry College founder Martha Berry’s birthday with picnics, marches, and a whole host of activities. The golf scramble and raucous Mountain Day Olympics kicked off the weekend on Friday. The Olympics pit various residence halls against each other and a faculty/staff team for bragging rights in the hula hoop contest, tug o’ war, pyramid building and other fun competitions.

Other weekend highlights included intercollegiate soccer and volleyball games

Marthapalooza, the night carnival in the shadow of the Ford buildings,

was a big hit Saturday with record attendance.

Berry's Inaugural Schedule

The Inaugural schedule for Berry Lacrosse is now available.  The schedule is highlighted by the first lacrosse game every on the Berry College campus, against Millsaps College on Sunday, Feb 27th.  Another major highlight this season will be the spring trip to Texas.  The team will play games in the the Austin area against Southwestern and in Dallas against Concordia.  Before they head out on their spring trip, Berry will be hosting Catholic University (out of the DC area), on Friday, March 11th at Harrison High School.  Berry will also play a neutral site game at the Silverbacks Stadium in Atlanta with Oglethorpe University on Wednesday, April 20th.  This looks to be a yearly tradition as the two colleges want to put on a showcase for the Atlanta area.  We hope to see many of you out at our games.

Berry Lacrosse Starts Blogging
