Berry Wins with Big Second Half Run

Another great win by the Vikings yesterday.  A strong second half and stingy defensive performance gave the Vikings a 13-6 win over visiting Augustana College.  The defense lead the way holding the visitors to 4 goals until late in the fourth quarter.  The offense got on track midway through the third quarter to put distance between the two teams.  The Vikings moved to 2-0 for the first time, and are in action this Wedneday at Piedmont College at 4PM.

New Conference Gets A Name: Southern Athletic Association

The new 8 member conference Berry College is joining finally has a name.  The new Conference will be known as the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).  The SAA will be made up of Berry, Birmingham-Southern, Centre, Hendrix, Millsaps, Oglethorpe, Rhodes, and Sewanee.

We are also proud to announce that the Conference's new logo was designed by Berry College's own Ellie Fox, a Sophomore Graphic Design student.  Her design beat out many summited designs from professional firms.

Conference Play will start during the 2012-2013 academic year with a conference tournament and champion in the inaugural season.  A link to the conference website can be found on the right hand tool bar on this blogs main page.  This is an exciting time for the Men's Lacrosse program and all of Berry Athletics
